Completing Degree Requirements
There exist as many curricula as there are programs in architecture, and
in many schools there are a number of options that lead to the completion
of the degree requirements. The Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture
(ACSA) has
an extensive overview of the process to receive a degree.
Three Typical Paths
There are three common paths to obtaining the professional degree in architecture:
1. Obtaining a Bachelor of Architecture degree (typically five years);
2. Obtaining a pre-professional degree plus a professional Master of Architecture
degree (typically five to six years); or
3. Obtaining a four-year non-architecture degree plus a three- to four-year Master of Architecture degree.
