Who is Dr. Architecture?
Lee W. Waldrep, Ph.D., the assistant director of undergraduate student services in the School of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, has more than 15 years of experience in higher education with an emphasis in academic affairs and career development field of architecture students. Waldrep holds a Ph.D. in counseling and development from The American University and a master of architecture from Arizona State University. A frequent lecturer on the topics of careers in architecture, he has previously been associate executive director of the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB), associate dean at the School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation at the University of Maryland and the College of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). Waldrep authored Becoming an Architect: A Guide to Careers in Design. He served as National Vice President of the American Institute of Architecture Students in 1986-1987.
